Why buy new when USED will do?
REJOICE Music has been providing quality
used choral music and related items since 2002, and along the way I've had the pleasure to meet many wonderful choir directors and other great "music folk" around the world.
One of the things I hear most often from music directors is that the increasing cost of choral music - and decreasing choral music budgets - often make it difficult to acquire good quality music for their choirs. Also, it seems that many choir anthems go out of print so quickly that it's very difficult to find additional copies for purchase.
REJOICE Music sells quality used choral music, but there is still a lot of life and use in that music! Some of the anthems look almost new, others have a bit of pencil notations on inside pages (
mostly along the lines of notes circled, dynamics added or performance cues), a few are more heavily marked (
unfortunately some choir members still use PENS or highlighters to make up their music), etc. Just about all of the covers have some sort of identification such as a Music Library stamp with church name/address or catalog numbering or stickers with printed numbers.
In cases where the music is older or more worn than normal, I have tried to note this in the descriptions by either noting that the lowered price reflects the general condition of the music, or indicating that book spines should probably be taped up, or that the music exhibits more than normal wear, which I mean to be that a choir has sung the music several times and the edges are probably a bit worn, there are notations on inside pages, and so on.
